Bathrooms
Granite is often used for bathroom projects; however, marble remains
the favorite due to its distinctive appearance. It has a very unique,
less coarsely grained structure, which offers a subtle and idle feel.
Depending on the color chosen, marble will suit both a traditional, elegant
design as it will a contemporary and modern one.
Onyx is often used in baroque and old world style bathrooms, as its'
inimitable veining, and exquisite colors provide an elaborate antique
façade.
For a more modern look travertine, limestone, Durango and slate are often
used. These usually have a more unadorned appearance, with less color
variations within a piece. Durango, slate, travertine and limestone usually
have a duller-appearing surface, even when polished, than do other stones.
All can be honed for the ultimate luster-free surface.
